About Ploughshare Innovations

Ploughshare Innovations manages technology transfer on behalf of Dstl, the Ministry of Defence's Defence Science & Technology Laboratory; an organisation of some 3,500 plus staff devoted to providing the UK Government with independent expertise on defence and security-related issues.

Ploughshare has unique access to the Dstl Intellectual Property (IP) portfolio, aiming:

"to actively pursue the commercial exploitation of publicly funded research for the benefit of all"

Created in April 2005 as a commercially operated company, wholly owned by the Secretary of State for Defence, Ploughshare actively pursues the Government’s technology transfer agenda on behalf of Dstl. 

Based at the Tetricus Science Park near Salisbury, Ploughshare staff have over 30 years of IP exploitation expertise between them.
