Partnerships
Dstl funds research and development at Universities and research centres across the United Kingdom. Where synergies may exist, Ploughshare strives to develop partnerships with the relevant technology transfer offices. This provides Ploughshare Innovations with a national perspective and facilitates our objectives to return value to tax payers across the United Kingdom. Listed below are some of the organisations we work with to further our technology transfer agenda.
MerseyBIO is the agency responsible for leading the development of the life sciences sector on Merseyside. It is supported by the University of Liverpool, Liverpool John Moores University and local NHS Trusts. MerseyBIO provides incubator space, commercialisation experience and acts as a gateway to the local technologies and potential investment opportunities in Liverpool and Merseyside. Ploughshare is jointly working with MerseyBIO and The University of Liverpool to commercialise novel diagnostic technologies.
Nottingham University is one of the major research-led universities in the UK with expertise across a multitude of disciplines. The University sits within the heart of England in one of the East Midlands' business centres. Ploughshare is currently working with the University to commercialise jointly wound care technologies.
The InterAct Partnership is a unique partnership between four leading UK government research organisations: Central Science Laboratory (CSL); Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl); Health Protection Agency (HPA); and Veterinary Laboratories Agency (VLA).
