ProKyma Technologies has made a breakthrough in the automated handling of magnetic particles.
A Ploughshare spinout from Dstl; ProKyma was formed to capitalise on Dstl’s research into separation technologies. The company’s expertise lies in the use of high frequency ultrasound along with magnetism to manipulate, concentrate and purify biological cells for molecular biology and diagnostic applications. Sonic Separation can be used to analyse cell aggregates, for example in blood grouping and serology.
